The Book Nerd quilt is perfect for the reader in your life. You know, the one who always carries a book with them or talks endlessly about what they are currently reading. It might be a friend or it might be you! I confess to being a book nerd myself. Just give me a good book, a quilt to snuggle under and something warm to drink. Now throw in my favorite fabrics and perhaps some customization on the books and you’ve just created my perfect night in.

The Book Nerd Quilt is not only Fat Quarter friendly, it is also Fat Quarter Bundle friendly. So you can showcase 20 of your favorite fabrics. The pattern features basic paper piecing along with traditional rotary cut techniques. Keep the quilt at the given size for a comfortable throw, or easily enlarge this block-based quilt to a bed size quilt. Add in details using embroidery, applique or paper piecing to truly customize any or all of the books. The possibilities are endless.

  • MATERIALS:
    1 Fat Quarter Bundle of Curious Dream Fabric or 20 assorted Fat Quarters of your choice
  • 3/8 yard each of 3 separate text prints (this allows for fussy cutting and angling the text to match the paper pieces)
  • 2¾ yards background fabric
  • ½ yard binding fabric
  • 4 yards backing fabric
  • 2 yards 90″ wide batting

Orders placed for in-store pickup are usually ready within 24 business hours. You will receive an email when you purchase is ready for pickup!
Shipping Policy

We offer shipping within the United States & Canada. 

Shipping Rates for the United States:
Shipping rates are $2 for patterns and Flat Rate of $7 for all other orders. Orders over $150 are shipped for FREE! 

Shipping Rates for Canada:
Rates will be calculated with the carrier at checkout.

All orders are shipped via USPS or UPS based on what you select at checkout.  Orders will be processed and shipped within 2-3 business days, but delays may occur due to weather, holidays or unforeseen circumstances. 

If you place multiple orders in a day, they can be combined to save you on shipping; we will gladly refund you the difference in shipping!
Refund Policy

Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions! Listed below are the guidelines for product returns.

Fabric:  Fabric should be in its original sealed package, uncut, unwashed clean condition and free of perfumes, pet or smoke odors. 

Notions:  Should be in its original sealed packaging.

In-Store Policy: Must be returned within 30 days of purchase with original receipt.

Shipped Policy: Please contact within 3 days of delivery.  Refunds will be issued upon receipt and inspection of your return, less any shipping cost we incurred related to the purchase.  Unless it is our error, the customer is responsible for return shipping. 

All sales are final on books, patterns, preorders and custom orders.
