School of Sewing 2 | Mondays Feb-Mar

Prerequisite: School of Sewing 1
In this 6-week series class you will build upon the foundations taught in School of Sewing 1. Tara will be guiding you through the next projects from the School of Sewing book by Shea Henderson. You will be making the Essential Tote Bag, the Set the Table Placemats, Tech Case & My First Quilt.

✨ We have 4 classroom sewing machines - if you need to use one for this class, please call to reserve your machine. These are first come, first serve. Otherwise, you will need to provide your own sewing machine!

Additional Supplies will be needed to make each project each week - this will be discussed each week in class. For example, the first project is the Essential Tote Bag and you will need:

Pick between the Striped, Solid or Both Styles.

• Striped Style: 1/4 yard of four different fabrics for exterior
• Solid Style: 2/3 yard for exterior
• Both Styles: 2/3 yard for lining
• ½ yard for long straps OR 1/4 yard for short straps
• 2 yards woven fusible interfacing, such as Pellon SF101 (referred to as interfacing in instructions)
• 2/3 yard Pellon fusible 971F Thermolam Plus interfacing (referred to as Thermolam in instructions)
• Optional pocket: 9" x 11" (half a fat quarter) each of pocket fabric and of interfacing
• Fabric marking pen
• Hand-sewing needle
• Ditch or edgestitch foot (optional)
