Ready to give your quilts a polished, professional finish? In this hands-on class, you'll learn three essential binding methods that every quilter should know.
You'll practice:
- French binding
- Rolled binding
- Bias binding
- Perfect mitered corners
Students will work with prepared quilt sandwiches, allowing you to focus on technique and build confidence as you learn!

- One yard of cotton fabric
- Coordinating thread
- Hand sewing needles

- Small 1" × 6" ruler
- Sharp pencil

Class Policy
Class Policy
Our classes require planning and preparation in advance including ordering materials and supplies, scheduling teachers and reserving our classroom space. When students request cancellations or reschedule at the last minute, it affects all of the above in addition to taking away a spot from someone who wanted to take the class.
We are unable to make exceptions to our policy listed below. That includes for reasons of illness, travel, or work. If you are unable to attend a class at the last minute, please consider offering the spot to a friend!
If Calliope Quilts cancels a class for any reason, you will receive a FULL refund.If you wish to cancel 14 days or more before the date of your class, you will receive full credit towards another class within 6 months of the original class date. If you cancel a rescheduled class, you will forfeit your payment for that class.If you cancel 2-13 daysbefore the date of your class, you will receive a full credit to use towards another class within 3 months of the original class date. If you cancel a rescheduled class, you will forfeit your payment for that class.If you do not cancel your class within 48 hours of the class start date and time OR you do not show up, you will forfeit your payment for that class.If you register for an event or class with a guest educator, your class fee is nonrefundable.
